ANTRIM COUNTY AIRPORT PARKING ORDINANCE
Whereas, Antrim County owns and operates the Antrim County Airport, located in Kearney Township, Antrim County; Whereas, the Antrim County Airport employees plow the snow from the parking lot east of the terminal building for the convenience of the public, and Whereas, motor vehicles parked overnight in the parking lot east of the terminal building hinder the snow plowing in the parking lot; NOW WHEREFORE the County of Antrim hereby Ordains,
SECTION 1: TITLE
This ordinance shall be known and cited as "The Antrim County Airport Parking Ordinance."
SECTION 2: DEFINITIONS
When used in this ordinance, the following words and phrases shall have the meanings respectively ascribed to them in this section: (1)"Motor Vehicle" means every vehicle which is selfpropelled and every vehicle which is propelled by electric power obtained from overhead trolley wires, but not operated upon rails. (2)"Parked" means standing a vehicle, whether occupied or not, upon the parking lot, when not loading or unloading, except when making necessary repairs. (3)"Parking lot" means that area of pavement located east of the Antrim County Airport Terminal building which is designed and used for the parking of motor vehicles. (4)"Person" means every natural petton, firm, copartnership, association, or corporation and their legal successors. (5)"Police Officers" means every sheriff for sheriff’s deputy, village, township, marshal’, officer of the police department of any city, village or township, any officer of the Michigan State Police or any conservation officer of the Michigan Department of Natural Resources.
